Purpl@HRM: Afro-Peruvian Percussion Ensemble @ Summer Amphitheater

Afro-Peruvian Percussion Ensemble.jpg

Cowbells, a drumset, a guitar, a bass guitar, vocals, and traditional Peruvian instruments come together in this group's dynamic symphonic percussive act.  Offering a sampling of advanced musical content, and blended with Spanish lyrics, the Afro-Peruvian Percussion Ensemble will intrigue your conception of what it means to listen to a percussion instrument!

The Afro-Peruvian Percussion Ensemble pays homage to the music and the musicians from the Afro-Peruvian tradition, which is Latin American music originally developed by black slaves from West Africa in South America.

Please feel free to join Purpl as we curate the Hudson River Museum's Summer Amphitheater music program, this August 4th, at John F. Kennedy Memorial Drive and Trevor Park, Yonkers, NY, 10701.  Admission: Free.  Ages: All.  Time: 8:00 p.m.  Ample parking available on-site.
